Sir Keir Starmer will push supporting countries to supply Ukrainian forces with additional advanced missile systems to strike Russian targets during talks in Britain on Friday.

Britain's leader plans to receive President the Ukrainian head of state alongside what's known as "coalition of the willing", consisting of over twenty of supporting nations who have agreed to provide Ukraine security guarantees once hostilities pause is arranged.

Ukraine's president has been appealing for weeks for further long-range weapons from the West, a step that Russia has warned would escalate the hostilities.

The Ukrainian president is coming from the EU capital, where he conferred with EU leaders on yesterday requesting financial support.

"The single figure involved in current hostilities who refuses to halt the conflict is Vladimir Putin," Sir Keir said.

Britain's leader will encourage delegates to ramp up the provision of advanced missile technology following a productive strike on a chemical plant in Bryansk, Russia, using UK-provided advanced weaponry.

"And his depraved assaults on small children in a preschool this week make that crystal clear," he added.

A pair of children were included in at least seven killed in a wave of enemy assaults on Ukrainian territory, which targeted a daycare center in the major urban center Ukraine's second city.

Economic Talks

The Prime Minister will consult partner nations on methods to withdraw Russian oil and gas off the global market.

Delegates will furthermore discuss employing seized Moscow funds to offer Kyiv with economic assistance, although the initiative experienced divided opinions and legal hurdles at the EU conference on the previous day.

European Union stopped short of agreeing an initiative to utilize up to €140bn in seized Russian resources to financially prop up Ukraine.

However, the leaders decided to contribute to the country's "economic requirements" for the next two years.

America furthermore announced sanctions on Wednesday against the Russian two largest petroleum firms, the state-owned company and the private firm, as part of efforts to apply economic pressure on Moscow to begin hostility discussions.

Moscow began its full-scale invasion of the country in winter 2022. The invading forces currently occupies about twenty percent of Ukraine's soil, including the southern region Russia took control of in 2014.
