Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca announced on Friday that Cole Palmer is available for selection for the squad's important Premier League encounter against local opponents Arsenal.

The young England midfielder was unavailable due to a fractured toe incurred after an accidental incident.

“He is fit to begin and feature,” Maresca said. “All involved are pleased.”

This season, Palmer has featured in just four games in all tournaments, scoring twice.

Everton have failed in their protest against Idrissa Gueye's red card for an on-field altercation with fellow player Michael Keane during the team's 1-0 victory at Manchester United.

The 36-year-old Senegalese player was sent off only 13 minutes into the match after slapping Keane during a disagreement over a poor pass.

Gueye promptly expressed regret, and the pair appeared making up afterwards in a mock online video.

However, the appeal against the dismissal was rejected, and Gueye must complete a three-match suspension, making Everton depleted for their upcoming fixture against Newcastle United.

“We have appealed it and our appeal was turned down,” manager David Moyes said. “We haven’t been given any reason why it was turned down but we did appeal it.”

When asked about additional consequences from the event, Moyes continued: “It was over immediately, it was done, that was it, we progressed quite quickly and it was all sorted within the dressing room.”

Third Story: Wissa Practices with Newcastle for Initial Session since Setback

Newcastle United's recent signing Yoane Wissa has practiced with his squad for the initial occasion since suffering a knee problem soon after his move from his former club in September.

5. Morgan Gibbs-White in Contention for Forest against The Seagulls

Nottingham Forest's boss Sean Dyche is optimistic that Morgan Gibbs-White will be fit for the side's at home match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

The English player missed the midweek Europa League game against the Swedish side due to a back issue.

“Hopefully it’s settling down,” Dyche said as he prepared to face the Brighton manager's side, who have taken a decent haul from their last three matches.

“It’s comparable to back pain, but a morning sort of injury, one where you just rest awkwardly or twist funny. So we’re not expecting, at this stage anyway, that it’s too serious and it’s improving already. So we’re confident that it’ll be right for the weekend.”

The defender was feeling his hamstring muscle after the comfortable European win, but Dyche said the player “should be fine”.

Meanwhile, the full-back (thigh injury), the midfielder (thigh), Dilane Bakwa (hamstring), Chris Wood (knee), and Oleksandr Zinchenko (hip) are expected to miss out.
