Ex- Physician Faces Sexual Assault Allegations Involving 38 Patients
Legal authorities report that a ex- doctor now faces charges for performing assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were patients.
Details of the Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of acts of sexual assault – comprising some against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
One deputy chief CPS official said, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges follow what police called a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five charges comprise:
- 15 counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
